Art is a collaboration between God and the artist, and the less the artist does the better.

First and foremost, I am mom and grandmother. After that, a medical case manager and then, a watercolorist.
I hesitate to call myself an artist. A dear friend once told me, "You can call yourself an artist after you have painted 1000 pictures!" Well, if you count all the bad paintings, I may be getting close!
Watercolor offers challenges no other medium does. Only the most creative and experienced watercolorists can correct a mistake - usually, it requires incorporating the error into the painting or just starting over. Other than that, the myriad techniques usable in watercolor offer opportunities for variety, for effects, and for just plain fun!
I always tell the students in my classes, if you aren't having fun, you are working waaayyy too hard!

The most important things in my life are my daughters,
Danielle and Andrea, and my precious, precocious
granddaughter, Ellen. Here she is as artist Frida Kahlo,
participating in a school biography assignment.
